Creandum has released Founder Compensation 3.0, its now annual report providing data on founder compensation across European startups. It’s based on data from 688 startups (across Bootstrapped, Pre-seed, Seed, Series A and Series B & beyond) and is a good benchmark when deciding on compensation.
There are several interesting data points, but if highlighting one it would be the average and median salary per funding amount (which is a decent proxy for size). It looks like the average (and median) compensation is around 75,000-100,000 euros for pre-seed and seed startups (less than 10 million euros raised), with Series A being a little above 100,000 euros and then it increases with size.
